Why Is MLM Dead Today?

MLM has been around for quite some time and has been a tremendous way to make money online in the past.  It has presented entrepreneurs who possess little to no marketing background with the chance to start a career on the internet.  Unfortunately, times change and MLM has dissipated over the years.

There are countless options to choose from today in order to make money online; many far better than MLM.  The problem with multi-level marketing is it takes a considerable amount of time, effort and energy to actually profit from it.  You will end up spending a lot of time trying to find qualified prospects that can help enhance your business. 

The problem with this is there really are a small percentage of people who are actually interested in what you have to offer.  Typically the products offered within this industry are obsolete or attract little interest whatsoever.  By jumping into internet marketing you can sell virtually anything you want rather than being tied down to a specific product.

With the need to generate traffic and sells, you are going to have to talk to a great deal of people just to see any results at all.  What this leads to is you talking to a number of people who are not qualified whatsoever.  You will face rejection on a daily basis making it difficult to stay motivated and focused.

Fortunately, social sites, forums and article marketing have made it easier for you to promote an internet marketing business.  You can eliminate 100% rejection, so you will have much better success by talking to a target market. 

Many times today you will find systems that run completely on autopilot.  Instead of wasting your time talking to people who have no interest in what you have to offer, you can focus more of your time on building relationships and gaining trust from quality prospects. 

One of the biggest reasons MLM is dead today is because of the small income and profit that is generated.  Even if you do begin to develop a steady traffic flow with customers here and there, the profit earned is far less than that with an internet marketing business.  It really is simple; if you want to make legitimate money, you have to step away from MLM.

There are still multi-level marketing opportunities out there that you can pursue if this is what you want.  However, you are much better off sticking with an internet marketing business as this is where the money is at.  You can create more spare time for yourself all while making a legitimate income.
